Parental leave on Easter Holidays

HI
29th March is Free day from my employer.
30th March and 2nd April 2018 are easter holidays. I am planning to take parental leave on these three days.
1) Can i take parental leave on these 3 days as they are free for me or non working days for me?
2) Should i need to register these three days to my Employer in my monthly time sheet as parental leave days or i don't need to register them as Parental leave for 29th , 30th March and 2nd April ?

Regards

  • Hello,

Yes, you can always take out parental benefit at the minimum level (lägstanivå) for weekends, holidays or other days you would not have worked.

It is also possible to take out parental benefit at sickness benefit level (sjukpenningnivå), for days directly before or after the weekend or days you would not have worked.
For example, if you work  Monday to Friday and want to take parental benefit at the sickness benefit level on Saturday and Sunday, you need to take out parental benefit at the sickness benefit level on the Friday or Monday.
You need to take out parental benefit in the same scope on all the days. In your situation, you need to take out parental benefit at the sickness benefit level at the same scope for 28th, 29th and 30th march

Yes, you need to inform your employer that you are on parental leave during those days.
You can find more information on our website here.

    Best regards

  • Hi,

    1) Can we take parental benefit at the minimum level (lägstanivå) for red days / public holidays ?
    2) Do we need to inform employer about these days as they are non-working days but employer still pays salary for those days too?
