  • I have applied for personal number in Dec 2020. I got my personal number after a long delay on may 2021. After that on may 2021 I applied for social insurance.  Can I receive child care benefits from Dec 2020?
From which day onwards I can apply for parental leave?

  • Hello Shabnam!

Thank you for your post! In general a person has to be socially insured in Sweden for residence based benefits in order to qualify for the child benefit. Having only work permit and currently emplyed may not qualify a person for all the residence based benefits such as the child allowance.
