No inssurance at the moment

Together with my registration document, I applied for the European Health Insurance card last month on May. I am aware that the waiting time might go up to 10 months at the moment. My concern, though, is as follows. When I applied for registration at Försäkringskassan, you asked me to prove that I was no longer covered by the Social security of my country, Spain. So I did so; I cancelled my coverage back in May. Today, 6 months later, I find myself not covered neither by Spain (because I had to renounce to register) nor by Sweden (because the waiting list is huge). This makes absolutely no sense. I also do not have any European Health Card, which could at least improve my situation. Could you please tell me what should I do?

    Unfortunately the processing time for registration cases are very long at the moment. Once the registration is done, you might be registered retroactively from an earlier date.

    The Swedish Social Insurance Agency has limited abilities to answer questions relating to individual cases on this forum.
