Expecting twins and income information

Hi,
I have two questions for you.

1. We sent the pregnancy certificate and understand that it's not stated in there how many babies we are expecting.I know when expecting multiples, the number of days we are entitled is more than 240 days per parent. How should we inform försäkringkassan about it?

2. I've started working in Sweden since August 2017 on international assignment. I am receiving compensation in Sweden and paying Social security and pension as well. Last July I moved to a local contract. When I go on parental leave it will only be 4 months working for my current employer, (They will sent the income information too). What documents I need to provide as proof from my previous employer so I am covered by the 8 months period as pre requisite to get the 80% of salary?

Thanks,

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your post!

1- The Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) gets updated automatically on informations related to multiple babies. Therefore, the additional parental days for the parents is distrubuted automatically.

2- Since we may need to ask you some questions before we reply to your question we recommend you to contact our customer center by calling to 0771 524 524.

Our opening hours are Monday – Friday, 08:00-16:00

    Best regards,
