Distance studies during parental leave

I am working full -time and will soon go on maternity leave for a year. While at home, I would like to take a distance course in Swedish at Komvux to improve my language skills. I am wondering if I am allowed at all to do that while I am on full-time maternity leave. I am not interested in taking any CSN - if this makes any difference for your.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hello,

You are allowed to do the SFI course from home (on distance) during your parental leave regardless of the level of parental benefits you are getting. As long as you are with your child during the day you chose to take parental benefit it is fine.

    Best regards,
