Can both parents take part-time parental leave on the same day if the child is older than 1 year?

my wife and I are sharing the parental leave at the moment. Each of us is taking care of the baby half the day, my wife in the afternoon and I in the morning. We cannot get the parental leave benefits on the same day, though, according to the rules.
Is it possible, that we each apply for 50% parental leave benefit for the same days or should we take 100% parental leave benefits every second day (so it is 50% for each us in the end of the month)?

If not how can we solve it?

  • Hello Sebastian!

Thank you for your post. It is possible if each parents applies for 50% of the day for the same child.
